For safe guarding reasons, your child won't be able to create their learner account until you've created a parent account.
If your child uses Practice Pal at school you should receive an invite email with a link to create your account, creating your account this way will automatically let you see your child's upcoming music lessons from the school. If you're looking to sign your child up to use supervised practice the instructions are slightly different, click here to jump to the relevant section.
Adding a learner who uses Practice Pal at school
- When you click the link in your email you'll be asked to enter some details, some of these will already be populated.
- Click on any of the blue links to read our Terms of use, privacy and safeguarding policies and procedures and tick to acknowledge these.
- Select if you'd like to be kept up to date with all the exciting updates and promotions from Practice Pal.
- Once you're happy the details are all correct click "create account":
- When you log in you should see a section at the top that mentions 1 pending invite, this should be from your child's school. Click accept on this.
- A pop up with your child's details should appear, double check these are correct and click accept invite
- At the top, near your name you'll now see your child's name and a 6 digit code, make a note of this as your child will need this code the first time they log in to their account:
Adding a learner without a school invite
- If you're setting up your account to sign a learner up for supervised practice rather than via a school you need to go here and enter your details:
- Enter your password and enter it again to confirm:
- Check all your details are correct and tick the box if you wish to opt in to hearing all the exciting news and updates from us and then click register.
- Select your role, in this instance Parent. Top tip: if you also work with a school as a teacher you can add additional roles later.
- Click the blue link to read our terms of use for parents and tick the box once you're happy with these
- Success! You've created your parent account. Click to go to your dashboard.
- You should get a pop up offering a video tour of your dashboard, click start on this for a short demonstration of the dashboard, otherwise you can click cancel to skip it.
- Click the parent icon to go into the parent area of the system
- You should get a pop up asking for your learners details, if not or if you accidentally close out of it you can add them by clicking add learner at the top. Enter their details and click "add learner"
- At the top, near your name you'll now see your child's name and a 6 digit code, make a note of this as your child will need this code the first time they log in to their account:
